Special Education teacher at Broughton Magnet High School named WCPSS Teacher of the Year

Caroline Olson has been in the Exclusive Courses Section at Broughton Higher School considering that 2015. She also served as a coaching assistant for the TEACCH Autism Method during the summers of 2014 through 2017.

Olson is a graduate of Clemson College, with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and learning. She is licensed in Fantastic Young children- Tailored and General Curriculum (K-12) and holds Countrywide Board Certification as an Extraordinary Wants Specialist.

Olson also serves on the North Carolina Superintendent’s Trainer Management Council and has served as a curriculum writer for the NC Department of Instruction. She was a Kenan Fellow for Trainer Management in 2019-2020 and was named a WCPSS Diane Kent Parker Very first-Calendar year Teacher of the Year Award winner in Exclusive Schooling in 2016.

As Teacher of the Year, Olson will participate in the Go International NC intercontinental examine application in Chile in the summer months of 2023. The excursion is sponsored by the Dan Royster Memorial Trainer Award, in honor of a previous WCPSS science trainer.
