It is very important for the students to have a clear understanding of the marking scheme, sectional weightage, distribution of questions, and exam duration. This helps the students to have a complete overview of the paper pattern and prepare a study plan accordingly. A new pattern is introduced for the JEE Main exam. Earlier, there were only 2 papers. Now, 3 papers are introduced. Paper 1 is for students aspiring for B.E./B.Tech courses in NITs, IIITs, and other prestigious engineering colleges. Paper 2A is for B.Arch and paper 2B is for B.Planning courses.
Maths, Physics, and Chemistry are the subjects for paper 1. Along with Maths, aptitude and drawing tests are present for paper 2A. Paper 2B consists of Maths, aptitude and planning-based questions. Aspirants can opt for either one or both papers. There will be 90 questions in paper 1, out of which only 75 need to be attempted. The total marks are 300. 4 marks will be given for every correct answer. Negative marking is there for paper 1. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
JEE Advanced 2022
The top 2.50 lakh candidates from JEE Main are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2022. Once the JEE Main results are out, the exam conducting authority will release the notification for the JEE Advanced exam. This is also a computer-based online exam. The question paper will be prepared in 2 languages, i.e. English and Hindi.
