The university will welcome Dr. Mary Louise Noce as its new Dean, Human Providers and Local community Safety, at the Orillia Campus. Dr. Noce will start her new role on Sept. 7.

As Director of Study Fairness, Diversity, and Inclusion Initiatives at Sheridan Faculty, Dr. Noce led the college’s participation in the nationwide Proportions pilot ― an initiative of the three federal granting companies in collaboration with Universities Canada and Faculties and Institutes Canada ― running and creating techniques to combine EDI methods within just the scholarly, exploration and creative ecosystem.
She also released Sheridan’s inaugural personnel self-identification census, led the creation of Foundations of Equitable Practice Training for personnel and formulated a School Exploration Mentorship Software.
Previously, Dr. Noce served as Associate Dean of Community Scientific studies, exactly where she led the enhancement of Sheridan’s Honours Bachelor of Social and Neighborhood development degree and superior application high quality enhancements.
